Artist Hiki Komori (a reference to the Japanese “Hikikomori” that are recluses who seek isolation and confinement) takes the practice of double exposing a photograph to a level that even True Detective might not have hit. Hiki Komori (aside from the pseudonym, we don’t know much about the artist) juxtaposes faces and bodies with mostly industrial landscapes. We could get into the emotional ramifications of the seemingly disparate parts of each of these photo collages, but we’ll leave that up to you. We like the works because they’re just plain cool.
