As part of an ongoing project titled Jarred & Displaced, photographer Christoffer Relander is bottling Finnish landscapes with double exposure photography. These images aren’t of prints shot and placed in bottles. They’re not digitally color corrected edits or juxtapositions using Photoshop. Relander plays with the idea of conserving the landscapes where he grew up in the south of Finland by using analog double exposures shot on medium format film that he develops and scans himself. Shooting analog is hard enough, but juxtaposing these images together with results this cool is something we’re convinced we’d never be able to do. Luckily for us, Relander offers certain prints on request. Contact the artist through his site if you’re interested.
