Chamberlain Cottage

Iconic architects and designers Marcel Breuer and Walter Gropius formed a partnership in the late 1930s that would go on to influence architecture internationally. Their 1940 collaboration to “create a structure that would seamlessly unite nature with modern design” resulted in this, the Chamberlain Cottage. Loving restored over the past few years, you can finally own an updated Breuer and Gropius house and live in a piece of art. This iconic example of the Bauhaus movement is situated at the edge of the Sudbury River on almost eight acres of land and offers magnificent views of the Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. Inside, you’ll find copper wall coverings, stone and wood materials, cork and cement flooring and an indoor Koi pond that really helps solidify the connection this modern house has with nature. There are nine total rooms including three bedrooms, master bath and two full baths, so the 3,742 square foot space has more than enough room to accommodate friends and family.
