When it comes to our personal favorite ways to pass the time, building things with LEGO bricks will always be near the top because the only limit is your imagination. We’re similarly fond of brutalist type architecture because it tends to take basic shapes and building materials and utilize them in a way that creates structures that transcend the elements they’re built from. So naturally, when we stumbled upon these Arndt Schlaudraff Brutalist Architecture LEGO Models we were equally enthralled, impressed and intrigued. On his Instagram account @lego_tonic, German artist Arndt Schlaudraff has created close to 3,500 different Brutalist structures using only LEGO bricks. That’s right, this Berliner is doing the micro-models in an old school fashion with no 3D renderings, and, if we’re being honest, the results are nothing short of spectacular. Whether he’s recreating an existing work in impressive brick detail, or dreaming up something completely original, each one of his works is a striking testament to the style and construction methods… even if it’s in smaller scale.
