Ralph Steadman is a name that probably needs no introduction around these parts thanks to his Breaking Bad Illustrations and his work with Hunter S. Thompson. In 2017, Steadman was visited by another Cool Material favorite–the one and only Anthony Bourdain–for an interview on Parts Unknown. Over a year later, Steadman learned of Bourdain’s passing much like the rest of us did. The acclaimed artist decided to remember Bourdain early this year with a memorial portrait that captures the iconic Bourdain in all of his facets in a way that only he could. All profits from the sales will go to CALM–the Campaign Against Living Miserably–a charity dedicated to helping men at risk of taking their own lives. Unfortunately, the print sold out almost immediately. If you’re interested in one of them, you’ll have to hope–like we are–for a second edition or one to pop up on the secondary market.
