In a nutshell, Anki DRIVE is basically a real life video game. You control cars with your iPhone or iPad and race them around the track while shooting at your opponents for points. Over time you’ll be able to upgrade your weapons based on how you’ve performed and can equip your ride with things like a high-powered tractor beam to slow others down. Each car has different abilities and upgrades stick around so you can really craft your own unique four-wheeled warrior. No internet connection is required, although down the line there may be leaderboards and the like which would be a cool little feature to be connected for. The starter kit includes two cars but there will be others available for purchase as well ($69 each). Out October 23rd, Anki DRIVE and should sufficiently suck up all your free time.
