There’s only so many ways we can incorporate bacon into our cheeseburgers. We ground it up in the patty, created a bacon-infused mayonnaise and toyed with the idea of a solid bacon bun (verdict – greasy and unstable), but after a while we’re in need of something that won’t make our arteries look like the 101 at rush hour. To get your hands on a delicious burger that’s low in fat but big on taste you could of course go for bison or you could try your hand at these Elk Burgers from Allen Brothers. At 70 bucks for 12 patties they aren’t the cheapest things in the world, but delicious and healthy food should cost you a bit more every once in a while and we’ll be damned if we are reaching for a veggie burger.
