Part of the reason camping probably isn’t as popular as it could be is how long it can take to set up a tent. Messing with poles, arguing about placement, and inevitably losing the instructions can put a significant damper on what is supposed to be a fun, relaxing weekend away. But with the AirOPUS, you don’t have to worry about any of that, as the trailer mounted tent inflates itself in less than 90 seconds. There is some setup to do on the inside, but seeing as how that’s all ridiculously comfortable furniture, we’ll make that sacrifice. The secret to the quick setup is the introduction of a new type of inflatable pole. The AirOPUS replaces the traditional metal pole with an air-powered counterpart. After the 90 seconds and a little bit of interior assembly, you’ve got a fully furnished camping trailer, complete with two bedrooms, sitting areas, and a full (albeit small) kitchen. And for sunny days, you can take one of the walls off the trailer, basically turning this thing into a portable sundeck. Expect a full exhibit of the AirOPUS at the Caravan, Camping, and Motorhome Show in the UK this week, with orders to be fulfilled in April.
