Zima, quite possibly the most ridiculous bottled beverage to come out of the 90’s, is back for a limited time in the United States. The original, slightly cloudy malt beverage was hugely popular when it was released for a number of reasons. It was the first real alternative to beer and from what we can remember—sorry Mom—it tasted a lot better than the later option from Smirnoff. You know, the one that you chugged 10,000 of in college. Zima also developed a reputation by being incredibly delicious and even more sugary when you dropped a Jolly Rancher or three into the bottle and let it sit for a bit. The most important thing about Zima’s rerelease is that it’s only back in the shelves nationwide until Labor Day. So get it soon and start dreaming up ridiculous party cocktails now because this stuff will be everywhere this summer.
