Two decades ago, Blue Point Brewery was started by two friends who wanted to bring fresh beer to Long Island. They’re one of the best craft beers that aren’t craft beers because they’re owned by Ab InBev now, but that hasn’t stopped them from producing some incredibly tasty brews over the years. This morning, they announced the release of a new beer they collaborated on with Taco Bell. That’s right, after taunting Taco Bell for the better part of six months with sexy pictures of their beer paired with Taco Bell classics, the collaboration finally happened. Big City Bell Pilsner is “brewed with a blend of hops for a lime and citrus fruit aroma” according to what a spokesperson told VinePair in an email. The beer will be released in conjunction with the openings of new Taco Bell Cantina locations in New York starting on Christmas Eve. It might be time to switch up your holiday traditions if you’re in New York.
