Breaking Bad is easily one of the best TV shows of all time. Beer is easily one of the greatest beverages of all time. It might have taken over a decade for it to happen, but the two are finally, officially, coming together with the release of Schraderbräu beer. Schraderbräu, Hank Schrader’s German-style lager homebrew that first appeared in Season 2, was brought to life by none other than Dean Norris himself and the team at Figueroa Mountain Brewing out of California. It turns out Norris is as much of a beer nerd as the character he played on Breaking Bad because he spent ages finding the right brewery and beer so that Schraderbräu was actually good instead of just being a tie-in gimmick. The first release is a Märzen-style German lager, but there are plans for winter and summer ales, along with an Oktoberfest style. In terms of availability, it should be available in time for outdoor drinking season. Norris told Esquire, “It should be on shelves in late May! We’ll have it online and some national retailers. It’ll retail somewhere between $5.99 and $6.99 a bottle. It’s got a 6.3 ABV, so it’s a nice little buzz in a 22-ounce bottle.”
