‘Whiskey: A Tasting Course’

‘Whiskey: A Tasting Course’

In the early Middle Ages, Irish monks bestowed the name of uisce beatha–literally “water of life”–to whiskey. We weren’t around back then, but we’ve had no problem treating the distilled spirit as such since then. If you’ve ever been on any distillery tours, spoken with any industry experts or spent any amount of time on tastings, you’ll know that there’s only one wrong way to drink whiskey–in a way you don’t like. Whether it’s neat and rested, chilled, on the rocks, or straight out of the bottle (you savage!) there’s no wrong way to drink the brown nectar of the gods because the only way to find out about whiskies is to drink them. Whiskey: A Tasting Course is a truly hands-on book after our own hearts that will take you on an experiential whiskey journey with guided at-home tastings, sensory engagements, and helpful tips and tricks that will help you properly taste, enjoy and experience whiskies from the world over.
