The Gentleman’s Guide to Cocktails

The Gentleman’s Guide to Cocktails

At first glance, The Gentleman’s Guide to Cocktails looks like it could have been left lying around on the set of Mad Men. We can only assume that that was intentional, because the only thing that the people on the set of Mad Men seem to love more than drama, women and cigarettes is booze. Alfred Tong handpicked more than 150 cocktails for their “coolness factor and retro quality” which, in our minds, is pretty much the same thing as saying “likelihood of ending up on the set of Mad Men.” You don’t need a recipe for scotch, neat, so Tong addresses other classic cocktails like the bloody mary, margarita, gimlet and old-fashioned with recipes and drawings from Jack Hughes. Suit, smokes and secretary are not included.
