It took over four years to create the Discovery Channel miniseries “Life” in part because it had such an all-encompassing title. If it was called “Animals Doing Stuff” it could have been shot in a week at the zoo. Andrew Zuckerman has a knack for setting the bar high like this in his work and somehow exceeding the immense expectations every single time. With Music he captures everything the art form is about through simplistic but revealing photographs and informative interviews. Fifty of the biggest names in music from many genres are featured – rock legends like Iggy Pop, indie stars like Karen O, even international icons – each with a revealing look at their craft. It even contains an insightful and coherent interview with Ozzy Osbourne which may also have taken over four years to capture.
