We’ve seen more than our fair share of impressive pieces of street art displayed prominently on the sides of buildings. Dutch artists Jan Is De Man and Deef Feed took things to the next level with a new multi-level trompe l’oeil mural on the side of an apartment building in Utrecht, Netherlands. The enormous piece is a three-story tall bookshelf painted in the visual illusion style of trompe l’oeil so it appears three-dimensional regardless of which angle you look at it from. In terms of the books themselves, the artists used a collection of favorites chosen by the building residents like Sapiens, Evelien, and The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck, along with adding their own names to some of the book spines. We can’t wait to see what each of the artists come up with next because if those works are anything like this, they’re sure to be worth the trip to visit.
