Thanks to Kickstarter, we’re in the midst of an independent board game revolution. We’ve all thought of designing a game at one point or another, but the people at Pilot Study actually made it happen. Their foray into the world of dice and moving pieces is based on one of the most complex movies of all time–Inception. Inceptor takes place in the dream world and involves just about everything you would expect from a game based on that movie: missions, marks, architects, totems, forgers and the kick. There’s even a deluxe edition of the game that ships inside an aluminum case (like the one your poker chips are in) to give you the added benefit of a Chemist. It seems to be an incredibly complex game that we honestly can’t wait to play. Don’t worry, Warner Brothers won’t pull the plug on it, either. They didn’t officially license Inceptor, but when contacted by the founders, they had no objections to the game being produced.
