Annex Oppdal Diamond Cabin

Annex Oppdal Diamond Cabin

A38 Arkitekter–aka A38 Architects–is a Norwegian architectural firm that’s been producing innovative spaces since their inception almost half a century ago. Their latest project “Annex Oppdal” was produced in collaboration with the local TV program “Eventyrlig Oppussing” (‘Adventurous Renovations’ for the rest of us) and is based on an A-frame meets diamond design that features minimal encroachments on nature, minimal groundwork, enormous windows, and an interior decked out with an impressive amount of wood. What’s more, the entire structure sits on a single, heavy pillar so the environmental impact is minimal while still allow expansive views of the 18th-century buildings in the valley below along with the sky that surrounds it. If you want a peaceful home away from home, you won’t find better than the Annex Oppdal Diamond Cabin by A38 Arkitekter.
