In case you haven’t heard of Alessandro Paglia, he’s a Milan-based artist and designer educated in the world of product design that made his bones creating one-off, realistic drawings of iconic cars getting smashed to pieces from a top-down perspective. Iconic taxis from films. Dodge Chargers emblazoned with Americana. Herbie the Love Bug. The ever-influential DMC Delorean. Paglia has virtually smashed all of those vehicles for each one of his pieces in a way that’s curious, intriguing and relevant without having harmed any of the iconic vehicles each piece is based on in the process. In other words, he makes automobilia art based on some of your favorite rides that you’ll want to hang on all of your walls–without sacrificing the vehicles you’ve grown to love through Hollywood epics.

While you can go all MacGyver and shuck oysters with a screwdriver or other household tool, we highly recommend you invest in a good oyster knife. Why? Well, for starters, it’s safer. The best oyster doesn’t taste so hot when you’ve got something sharp stuck in your palm. Secondly, it makes the process easier and a bit more refined. Laguiole is an iconic name in knife making and the French brand has you covered when it comes to shucking thanks to the Laguiole Oyster Knife. Made of 420 stainless steel and complete with a wood handle, the Oyster Knife measures 6 ¼” and makes easy work of even the toughest shell. You just need to supply the cocktail sauce.
