When it comes to the everyday carry, we try to limit it to small, lightweight and indestructible essentials. The Sub, described by creators Malboro & Kane as “the world’s smallest torch”, fits all the parameters for our EDC. The little flashlight that could–it’s only 1″ in length and a 1/2″ in diameter–is barely larger than the end of a key, along with being almost completely destruction proof thanks to its aerospace grade aluminum construction. It fits on your keys. It fits on a ballchain around your neck. It feels like a normal zipper pull if you attach it to a hoodie, bag or backpack. At only 30 Lumens it’s never going to compete with one of the best tactical flashlights out there, but convenience is key in this regard because this is one light you’ll always have with you. The Sub Mini Torch is project has already blown away its funding goal on Kickstarter, so the products themselves should start showing up on doorsteps by the estimated delivery date of May of this year.
