As we’re sure you’re well aware, we’re big fans of high-quality, well-made pens here at Cool Material. One of our favorite makers of recent memory that got started on Kickstarter and then established an empire from their is Tactile Turn. Whether you’re talking about their original Mover, Shaker, Slider or Glider pens, or any of the unique click / bolt action pens that have come since then, Tactile pens always just felt right and were packed with an impressive amount of detail, thoughtful design and high-quality construction. Now, finally, they’re fully expanding into the world of knives with the Tactile Knife Company Rockwall Folder. Designed to occupy just the right amount of pocket space, it has a 4″ closed length with a CTS-XHP steel 2.84″ blade that is ground really thin to keep the behind the edge measurement small while maintaining the toughness. It’s a fantastically sharp blade, but what really sets the Rockwall apart is the meticulous texturing on the titanium handle that makes it an absolute pleasure to hold or use.
