Martin Genzow is a German outdoor enthusiast and historian that has a thing for high-quality bladed weapons. He teamed up with our friends at Spyderco, one of the best knife makers out there, to create the Genzow HatchetHawk you see here. In order to create the HatchetHawk that bears his name, Genzow pulled features and design specs from some of his favorite weapons–the Francesca Frankish axe, the classic bearded axe and the tomahawk. With a drop-forged, heat-treated and hand-finished head made from 5160 tool steel that’s mated to a handle made from a rigid aluminum core and covered in polypropylene injection-molded plastic, the Genzow HatchetHawk seamlessly and beautifully fuses old-school craftsmanship with state-of-the-art materials, design and manufacturing. We’d expect no less from a collaboration that involves the company that makes some of our favorite cleaver pocket knives, hidden knives and mini pocket knives. The multi-purpose Spyderco Genzow HatchetHawk can be yours right now.
