Beloved Retro Ski Apparel Brand Mother Karen’s is Back

Mother Karen’s is one of those apparel brands that was seemingly lost to history. The small ski apparel brand earned a cult following in the 80s among skiers, surfers, skaters, and BMXers. The color-blocked powder jacket with the oversized Kangaroo pouch is instantly recognizable and carries it with all of the nostalgia of the late 70s and early 80s. Well, the brand that’s made with “Mother Loving Care” has been resurrected after more than 30 years. With a more modern fit, Mother Karen’s is back with its beloved powder jacket now made with 80% recycled polyester fabric specially developed with the brand’s favorite mill in Japan.

Along with Mother Karen’s iconic jacket, the brand re-release includes a line of shirts, hats, and beanies. Established in 1973 by two Salt Lake City, UT ski enthusiasts, Mother Karen’s is back with a brand new collection.
