The Hults Bruk brand has been making some of the world’s finest axes since 1697. That’s not a typo. They’ve been making axes for almost one hundred years longer than the USA has been a country. And now, finally, Hults Bruk axes are finally available stateside. The process might no longer involve power provided by a water wheel, but the tradition remains. Each of their seven axes is crafted from Swedish axe steel and solid American hickory with a combination of precise modern technology and traditional skills. The line ranges from hatchets and felling axes to carpenter axes and splitting axes, and each axe comes with a traditional leather sheath embellished with decorative Swedish elements.
