When you’re staying away from home, you have a lot of options when it comes to sleeping arrangements. Get a tent or a hammock, rent an off-the-grid Airbnb or shell out beaucoup bucks for a trailer. Thanks to the Hitch Hotel, there’s another option you might find preferable to all the others. The “expandable wheel-less trailer” is essentially a high quality cargo storage box that attaches to the hitch on your car or truck and then expands into a decent sized room with some clever sliding mechanisms. In the closed position, Hitch Hotel gives you over 60 cubic feet of secured, suspended and watertight space that will fit everything from bikes to coolers. Once you transform it into room mode, you’ll get over 135 cubic feet of space, which is more than enough room for two adults who want to rough it with some protection from the environment. If you spend any amount of time on the road towing a trailer, we can’t see a reason you wouldn’t want one that double as a secure sleeping area.
