If you’re hunting for a new backpack, the DSPTCH Daypack should definitely be on your radar. With its mil-spec features, this daypack is ready for any occasion. We took one half-way around the world to see how tough it really is.
What is it?
The Dsptch Daypack is a lightweight daily carry backpack made entirely in the USA. It features a designated laptop or tablet compartment with an integrated wire management system. The Daypack clocks in at 2lb 8oz, measuring 13”x17”x7” with a 20L carrying capacity.
Who is it made for?
For travelers or commuters looking for a strong lightweight daypack at a competitive price. Users who enjoy American made goods with meticulous attention to design & quality.
How does it feel?
The bag is constructed of 1680D ballistic nylon material making it not only very tough, but also water-resistant. The ballistic nylon gives the bag a very strong look and feel while still retaining its lightness. The interior of the bag features a softer 410D nylon in a handsome gray finish.
What we liked:
Inspiration from military and tactical fields. The use of Mil-spec quality materials and webbing tells us this bag is built to last. Combined with the sleek black-on-black look makes this bag functional for everyday users.
What we didn’t like:
Trying to dig out a pair of earbuds mid-flight from the front-pocket. Vertical zipper access to the front pocket makes it difficult to access/find buried items in cramped spaces.
Coolest feature:
The closed cell foam padding/removable plastic plate in the rear of bag. Not only does this aid in supporting your back and protecting your electronics, it also keeps the bag constantly sitting upright, rarely slouching over. Nothing is worse then a lazy looking daypack.
Would we Buy it?
Coming in at a competitive price of around $158 we certainly believe that the DSPTCH Daypack is a solid buy. Constructed of high-quality materials combined with great storage and outstanding design make this daypack a dependable purchase.
