Floyd Luggage Is Inspired by 1970s Skateboarding Culture

There are a few really important style essentials that every man needs: dark denim, brown boots, navy jacket, you know the rest of the list. Now that you’ve invested in quality pieces that will last a lifetime, you need a way to get them all over the world with you on your adventures, and that’s where a good piece of luggage comes in. Enter Floyd. Founded by two luggage industry vets, Bernd Georgi and Horst Kern, that never quite gave up their love of 1970s skateboarding culture, Floyd makes hardsided luggage that looks unlike any of the other best wheeled carry-ons out there. Each one of their pieces has a decidedly retro colorway with a perfectly appointed double-zip interior that will hold all of the gear and clothing you need to carry. They also have a polycarbonate Makrolon exterior for durability, expandable aluminum handle for easy carrying and built-in TSA combination lock you can’t lose. But even with the interior design and unique colorways, we’re probably the most excited about are the bright red, skateboard-inspired red polyurethane wheels that are strong, silent and user replaceable.
