We’ve covered a lot of Kickstarter pens over the years. So many, in fact, that we’ve put together separate features on Kickstarter pens and nice pens that will last forever that both showcase excellent writing implements that got their start through crowdfunding. Most of the latest and greatest pen projects are all about creating the smallest possible version you’d ever want to use. Darter is no different because it’s an incredibly tiny micro pen, but unlike other projects, it also has a sewing kit inside. Yes, you read that correctly. This EDC pen that’s about the size of a AA battery and light enough to be carried on your keys also includes a sewing kit with four needles and multiple thread colors. We’re legitimately blown away that Ornisi, the makers of Darter, were able to capitalize on the wasted space between the refill and outer sleeve by filling it with a sewing kit, but here it is. Better still, every part is machined from solid aluminum or brass so there are no plastic part breakages to worry about.
