Base Object is a new San Francisco based design firm comprised of Mark Kelley (international industrial designer extraordinaire) and Richard Liu (who you might be familiar with because he’s the founder of DSPTCH) that’s creating unique desk accessories based on their combined experiences. Object 005 is a powder-coated aluminum stand with soft plastic pads designed specifically to hold and protect your camera while it would otherwise just be sitting out on your desk. Whether you’re proofing the last batch of shots, switching out cards or just taking a break, Object 005 is a simple, elegant way to keep your camera out of harm’s way during those few moments when you’re not actually using it.
