I start with a fun run. Scroll through the entire collection. Every piece, all in order, no stopping. Then, I circle back. Open new tabs as breadcrumbs. Favorites pile up in one window, while in another, I hunt down their on-sale twins. The final step? Evaluate, assess, splurge vs. save, and order.
Today, Todd Snyder released its Fall 2025 collection. Named after a neighborhood in Paris home to literary and artist types, the Saint-Germain collection leans into that elevated Parisian ease. Think mohair textures, cashmere softness, double-breasted outerwear, and colors that get noticed without sticking out.
I did my part. Pulled my favorites. Found their twins on the sale rack. The last step’s on you. What’s worth the splurge, what’s best for budget? Only you can answer that. Fwiw, Fall is objectively the best season for fashion, especially menswear, so if you are in the market for a lifetime-lasting piece and willing to splurge for it, now’s the time. If you just need to pick up a fresh layer or two for the season, go the sale route.
Shall we?

The Runway Look: Italian Wool-Alpaca Liner Jacket
The body is fuzzy, long-haired alpaca. The sleeves are quilted nylon. Slouchy but stylish silhouette. Hits at the knees. It’s French Alps ski resort chic.

The Sale Twin: Mid-Length Mac Jacket
It won’t be as warm as the Runway Version. But you can layer under it. It’s crafted from a cinnamon-colored water-repellent cotton fabric. So you’re still getting plenty of function. And for the fashion? It hits mid-thigh. So you get that classic trench style without the commitment of full-length fuss.

The Runway Look: Italian Wool Eisenhower Jacket
Vintage military inspired style. Modern slightly cropped fit. It’s the best of past and present. Not too heavy, great drape, and it’s woven in a super subtle herringbone pattern. The gold metal buttons bring it home. Something about a navy jacket with gold accents. I’ll never not love that combo. I predict that this will be the first from the collection to sell out. So don’t wait too long if it’s whispering to you.

The Sale Twin: Barbour OS Peached Bedale Jacket
You can get that same handsome combo of blue jacket and gold accents, just in a budget-friendly Barbour version.

The Runway Look: Italian Mohair Rugby Sweater Polo
Not sure I’ve seen a more handsome Rugby Polo. Zoom in. Notice the Italian mohair blend that was brushed not once, but twice, for an airy, fuzzy feel. The collar perfectly contrasts the shaggy body with a knit merino wool. It’s quiet luxury at its finest. This might be my Thanksgiving top splurge. Anyone else?

The Sale Twin: Silk-Cotton Geo Sweater Polo
If the runway version is for Thanksgiving. This on-sale version is for Friendsgiving. Get me?

The Sale Twin: Cotton-Cashmere Sweater Polo
You could also go for a short sleeve version for a more budget-friendly option. Layer on a dinner jacket or cardigan. The lightweight blend of cotton and cashmere here will be an absolute treat for your skin.

The Runway Look: Italian Mohair Sweater Vest
Vests have been my go-to style hack for the last couple of falls. If I’m yawing at my own outfit (jeans and a tee, or slacks and an oxford), I toss on a vest. Breaks up the lines and proportions to give your outfit more depth. This one’s in the same double-brushed mohair as the Rugby Polo, so its texture adds another layer of detailed depth to your look.

The Sale Twin: Fisherman Ribbed Muscle Tank
Made from a linen blend that gets softer over time, you can wear this with a tee or on its own in the spring or summer. Come fall? Layer on a jacket.

The Runway Look: Cashmere Donegal Double-Breasted Wythe Jacket
Ready for a big boy splurge? Here it is. A handsome double-breasted jacket in buttery cashmere. It’s the kind of jacket you can’t wait to wear every year. And every year, you’ll wear it a lot. With jeans in a tee? Yup. Dressed up for more formal nights out? Check. Keep in mind, if you’re committing to a piece like this, you should also commit to getting it tailored to perfect it on your bod. So take that into account when budgeting. Or keep scrolling and see the two budget-friendly versions.

The Sale Twin: Italian Cashmere Sport Coat in Mushroom
Same cashmere, less fabric. Hence, the smaller price. It’s a laidback-but-luxurious take on a classic blazer. Can be styled with just about anything. And I know this couldn’t matter less, but I love that the color is called mushroom.

The Sale Twin: Italian Flannel Madison Jacket in Chestnut
Or you could opt for the flannel version. Equally as cozy, equally as versatile to style with anything and everything, just… not cashmere. You get it.

The Runway Look: Italian Crepe Double-Breasted Wythe Jacket
Remember in the intro when I mentioned “colors that get noticed without sticking out.” Yeah. This mauve is dialed in. Soft, muted, somehow subtle. It’s a slightly oversized fit, which I love. But I’ve purchased similar pieces from Todd Snyder in the past, and I always end up getting them tailored to fit slightly less ’80s banker, while still keeping it roomy. Your results may vary.

The Sale Twin: Italian Wide Wale Corduroy Madison Jacket in Mauve
Not going to lie, I do prefer the mauve in a smooth texture. The corduroy makes it a little less subtle. But style that talks instead of whispers isn’t a crime. And for under $200? I might go the “save” route here.
