Review: My Three Months With the Tiami Mattress

Upgrading to Tiami turned sleep into something I look forward to every night. Don’t miss their Labor Day Weekend Sale.

After three months with the Tiami mattress, I can say it’s one of the best upgrades I’ve made at home. I didn’t fully realize how bad my old mattress was until I started waking up without sore shoulders or a stiff back.

Even the setup was a pleasant surprise. I’ve dealt with that overwhelming new mattress or furniture “smell” before, so I braced myself. But with the Tiami, it disappeared so quickly I was able to sleep on it the same night I unboxed it. A small thing, but it set the tone right away.

Sleeping on it has been easy from day one.

I’m mostly a side sleeper, but I move around a lot. No matter how I end up, the Tiami feels supportive and comfortable. It’s solid without being hard, soft without feeling flimsy. I don’t wake up achy or restless anymore, which honestly feels like a win every morning.

One of the biggest changes has been how cool I sleep.

My old mattress held on to heat, and I didn’t realize how much it affected me until I noticed I wasn’t waking up sweaty anymore. The Tiami somehow keeps things comfortable through the night, even when the room is warm.

The design side of things matters to me, too.

Tiami partnered with Design Within Reach, a brand I love. The mattress looks clean and modern, and even with bedding covering it, it instantly makes the room feel more elevated. It’s the kind of detail that makes you appreciate it beyond just how it feels to sleep on. And knowing it’s made with natural, thoughtful materials is an added bonus.

It’s also become a favorite spot for my cat.

He’s pretty much claimed his own corner of it. And he spends more time on the bed than anywhere else in the apartment, which might be the truest sign of comfort. If he’s curled up, there’s no moving him.

The Final Verdict

Three months in, I can honestly say I look forward to getting into bed at night. It feels sturdy, well-made, and like something I’ll have for years. Most importantly, I’m sleeping better and waking up feeling rested. That’s something no amount of coffee ever really fixed, but this mattress has.
