We have a pretty distinct idea of what wool clothing is. It’s hot, itchy sweaters or socks you wear while you’re camping or skiing and there’s nothing really beyond that. The reduction in washing comes from wool’s ability to facilitate the faster evaporation of sweat than other fabrics, meaning there isn’t as much of an opportunity to stink up the shirt.
