After years of separation, Russell Crowe and Danielle Spencer are almost officially divorced. This is newsworthy for you because Crowe is auctioning off a bunch of his stuff in a Sotheby’s Australia sale appropriately titled “Russell Crowe: The Art of Divorce.” As Sotheby’s tells it, “The Russell Crowe Collection comprises important paintings by some of Australia’s most significant historic, modern and contemporary artists, furniture, movie memorabilia, musical instruments, watches and sporting memorabilia.” Digging into more specifics, the auction includes a Vacheron Constantin watch, his stunt cuirass from Gladiator, Charles Blackman’s “The Suitor,” and Martin Crowe’s (Russell’s cousin) cricket memorabilia. There are also plenty of props, watches, memorabilia, pieces of art, trophies and all the other stuff you’d expect to find in a movie star’s personal collection. The exhibition of the collection will be happening from April 4-7 during the day with the actual auction happening the evening of April 7. Both events will take place at Carriageworks in Sydney.
