Nike’s Summer 2024 N7 Collection Celebrates the Heritage of Native Americans

Nike's latest release reimagines some classic footwear in honor of Native Americans' heritage.

Nike’s latest Summer 2024 N7 Collection, which just dropped on June 21, was perfectly timed with Canadian National Indigenous Peoples Day. This year’s collection is a bold blend of unisex apparel and footwear, designed to celebrate and elevate Indigenous culture through sport. With the N7 line, Nike aims to create a powerful fusion of tradition and modern style, ensuring that every piece tells a story of heritage and community.

Crafted by Nike/Jordan 3D designer Lauren Thomas, who draws inspiration from her Mi’kmaq First Nations roots, the new collection is a tribute to the vibrant spirit of powwow season. Expect dynamic colors and intricate patterns, including abstract designs inspired by Mi’kmaq petroglyphs.

The standout Air Max ’87 and Air Force 1 ’07 sneakers feature ombre colorways and moccasin-inspired stitching, while ribbon laces pay homage to traditional ribbon shirts and regalia. Through N7, Nike not only showcases Indigenous artistry but also supports non-profit organizations, continuing a legacy of over $12.1 million in grants since 2009.
