Fear of God brand founder Jerry Lorenzo started his retail experience working the stock room at Diesel, but now he’s an urban fashion icon whose clean and oversized apparel and cutting-edge fashion sneakers sometimes command over a grand. He’s just done a collab with Nike and created the Nike Air Fear of God 1. The AFOG1 are part of Fear of God’s Sixth Collection and the result of Lorenzo’s work with Nike design director Leo Chang. It combines Lorenzo’s revolutionary style with Nike’s proven athletic performance. The prominent Air unit that’s visible from the side and on the outsole harkens back to older Air models, and the heel cage is Nike retro goodness, as well.
