The extent of our sewing knowledge ends at repairing buttons undone too forcefully during “business meetings” which is exactly why we aren’t in the sneaker business. Welding on the other hand is something we can totally get behind. Apparently the people at DDC Labs and New Balance decided their seemingly divorced loves of welding and sneakers had been separated for too long. And then the New Balance MS574 BK Sonic was born. These shoes have sonic welds in place of stitches on the entire exterior of the shoe. The New Balance logo on the side is even debossed from the exterior. If the fact that your shoes are welded together isn’t enough, these black stealth kicks have a contrasting turquoise color pop on the heel. Just so people don’t mistake your kicks for ones that aren’t welded.
