New Balance and Todd Snyder Are at It Again

New Balance and Todd Snyder Are at It Again

Harkening back to a design and palette of the 1970s, the newest release from New Balance for Todd Snyder, called the “City Gym”, is the perfect neutral trainer.

The silhouette is the 237, a reinterpretation of the classic running shoe from the 70s. Balancing retro design with modern aesthetics seems to be Todd Snyder’s forte and the City Gym is no different. The body is satin and suede in varying shades of grey with a larger-than-life chenille N to balance out the bulk of the shoe.

The details really pull through on this one, including the exposed foam tongue and the terry cloth interior lining, making this every bit a vintage shoe, but with some very modern sensibility behind it.
