The standard hospital gown is ripe for embarrassment. While we understand that body parts need to be accessible, maybe not every body part needs to be that accessible. Care+Wear and the Parsons school teamed up to rectify this situation. (Yes, we said rectify.) The result is The Patient Gown, a hospital gown inspired by a kimono with backside coverage, side pockets, and thumb loops for easy dressing. When it comes to medical assistance, The Patient Gown has snaps on each arm for an I.V., snaps on the upper back for a stethoscope, and more entryways for other testing. All the while a patient is covered and able to roam the halls without worrying about mooning their neighbor.
