Everlane’s Latest Collection Is Made From Recycled Plastic Bottles

Planet Earth would like a word with the people responsible for creating plastic. The slowly degrading material presents numerous problems for the place we call home, as it breaks down into small pieces over time and harms waterways and the creatures that live in them. And that’s really just the start of it. Every little bit helps, which is why Everlane, makers of affordable, stylish clothing we happen to love, launched the ReNew Collection. ReNew contains outerwear and tops made from recycled plastic bottles. The collection includes a ultra-cozy fleece sweatshirt and fleece zip-up, a lightweight puffer jacket, and two parkas. With the collection, Everlane has renewed 3 million plastic bottles. Even better, the brand made the commitment that it would not add any new plastic to its entire supply chain by 2021. That’s a mission we can get behind. And it doesn’t hurt that the affordable pieces look damn good.
