Follow enough sneakerheads on Instagram and your feed will quickly fill with the same shot. That shot, known as the “toe-down,” is achieved by placing your foot flat and pressing your toe to the ground in an effort to highlight the sloping silhouette of certain shoes. It’s incredibly popular. Now, adidas took that knowledge and crafted a sneaker built for perfect “toe-down” photography. The Deerupt (a portmanteau of “disrupt” and “erupt”) is the latest silhouette from adidas and it offers a lightweight body and an ’80s feel. Pulling design elements from the adidas Marathon, the Deerupt features a similar pattern on the midsole and a mesh-like upper. Grab a pair and pull out your phone to get a shot.
