A partnership between Sotheby’s and Stadium Goods has resulted in the Ultimate Sneaker Collection, a museum-worthy collaboration that contains some of the world’s rarest sneakers… just not necessarily in your size. The collection contains precious footwear such as a 1972 Nike Waffle Trainer “Moon Shoe” ($160,000), the radical Back to the Future II Nike Mag ($70,000), and more affordable versions like the Nike Air Jordan 1 Red/Black ‘94 ($3,000) and 4 pairs of Adidas Yeezy Boost 350s ($9,000). There are 41 lots, and some are sold as multiple pairs of the same model. Every model has historical sneaker significance and would look perfect behind lucite on your coffee table for your guests to ogle but not wear. The mindblowing collection will be available until July 23 on the Sotheby’s website.
