J.L. Lawson & Co. has been machining Heritage pieces (check out Anthony’s Heritage piece here) the good old fashioned way for so long that it probably wasn’t considered old fashioned when they started doing it. That was just the way you made things. If you’re not familiar with their corkscrews, key shackles, bottle openers, or one of the many other products they make, here’s how it works. They manually machine everything out of solid metal. Whether it’s solid brass, polished stainless or black stainless, everything is built by hand and made to last a lifetime. Their latest offering is a Kickstarter for five different tops. The EDC top is available in solid brass, polished stainless or black stainless and outfitted with a ceramic ball tip for a potential of 10+ mins spin time. The Teetotum (the top / dice hybrid that’s all the rage these days) comes in brass and is available in Tiny or Pocket sizes. Both come with leather pouches and will eventually get passed on to your grandchildren because they’re that well made.
