Yes, this is another watch company launching on Kickstarter, but the crowdsourcing for Canvas Watch Company doesn’t end with the platform they chose to launch on. Rather than applying numbers and markers to the face of the watch itself, they’re printed on the inside of the sapphire crystal. This gives them a different sense of depth than most watches. Just as importantly though, this allows the different crystal designs to be reused with different face designs–which is where each of you comes in. The initial launch options are two batches of 250 available in black or white, but if the campaign is successful users will be able to submit their own designs and vote on others. It’s kind of like the Threadless t-shirt system except you get to decide about things made with 316L stainless steel cases, Ronda 513 quartz movements and butterfly deployment clasps.
