Lomography Petzval Portrait Lens

Long before you started throwing filters on your Instagram photos, the majority of portraits were taken with a Petzval lens. In the 19th century, the lens, which was created by Joseph Petzval in 1840, was constantly used for its strong color saturation, that classic swirly bokeh effect, and the crispness of the images it captured. Now, Lomography is bringing the awesome looking lens back. The lens will work with both Canon EF and Nikon F mounts and, if funded on Kickstarter (which shouldn’t be a problem since it raised over $50,000 in a night), can be yours for over $100 less than what it will retail for. Based on the sample shots, it looks mighty fun.
