Normally, product copy is pretty boring stuff aimed at getting the facts out as fast as possible. It’s about numbers, not feelings. The Sold iPhone App sells itself pretty well when it comes to describing its function–putting the burden of selling your “luxury” shit for some extra rent money. “I don’t have time for eBay.” “Craislist is sketchy!” (We would have gone with “is a pain in the ass,” but sketchy also works.) But none of that is the point. Selling stuff online is a huge pain in the ass. You have to list it, monitor it, artificially inflate the price, weigh it, ship it, pay fees, pay some more fees and then wait for your money to get deposited. Not with Sold. Install the app. Take a bunch of pictures. Submit to Sold. If your item gets approved (they’re selective when it comes to what they sell), they’ll take care of finding you a buyer. If it sells, they send you a box to put it in with shipping info. It’s almost as easy as posting pictures to Instagram, except you’re making money.
