Convertibles are not always synonymous with exhilarating performance unless you happen to be sitting in a high-dollar Italian thoroughbred. That is set to change in 2014 when Audi brings the RS 5 Cabriolet to the U.S. RS is Audi’s top performance trim level and is short for “RennSport” which translates to racing sport. Language lessons aside, what this really translates to is a droptop with 450-horsepower. Enough to boil rubber and chew up asphalt as it spins the planet just a little faster. Enough power through Audi’s world renowned Quattro drive system to rocket from 0-60 in 4.9 seconds with top speed limited to 174 mph. Available Spring 2013.
