If you’d best describe your style as “understated” but you care about the quality of the stuff you wear, these sneakers from Shoes Like Pottery might be up your alley. The simplistic kicks are hand-sewn and hand-assembled over in Japan, but what makes them really unique is the vulcanizing process. Each shoe is fired in a kiln at 248 degrees for 70 minutes causing the sulfur mixed in with the raw rubber to react resulting in an elastic, soft, and durable sole (it’s science). Each has a rubber seal stamped on the side and sports canvas uppers. If you don’t mind dropping $155 on a new pair of sneakers, you could do far worse.
