DSLR cameras only have two downsides: price and size. Even if you can afford the car payment size pill that is the cost, they’re a pain in the ass to lug around. Sony’s new NEX-F3 camera alleviates some of that by strapping a big ass 18-55mm lens on a point and shoot body like Quentin Tarantino straps huge weapons on chicks in his movies. The NEX-F3 doesn’t just have interchangeable lenses and a 16.1MP APS-C HD sensor, though. It packs a 180 degree rotating screen for those MySpace portraits, 15 filters, a pop-up flash and a “Superior Auto Mode” that essentially takes all the work (and the f-stops/isos/etc) out of shooting like a pro–without removing the excellent end product. It’s a whole helluva lot of camera in a relatively small package.
