Font Maps are easily the most self-explanatory product we have ever covered. It’s a collection of city (London, Manhattan, Chelsea, Kensington) and country (USA, France, Japan, Italy) maps composed out of, you guessed it, fonts. Cool typography pictures are nothing new if you spend any amount of time on the Internet, but the people at FontMap set themselves apart with their map’s clean lines, limited editions (almost all of them are limited to 100 prints that are signed and numbered) and use of color. The idea of using words and fonts as art is nothing new, but FontMap takes it to another level by going international instead of just doing neighborhoods in New York, Chicago and LA.
