In light of the fact that everyone else seems to be hellbent on making everything as microscopic as possible (Zoolander phone, anyone?), it’s a nice change of pace to find products with a little bit of meat on them. This two pound cast iron box from Anthropologie is a perfect example. Made of cast iron, the “box” bears a close resemblance to the types of weight plates people used to work out with before the Bowflex and the Shake Weight, it’s just a keepsake sized container. You can store your pushpins, phone numbers and tiny office knickknacks in it, or your can just use it as a paperweight. Regardless of what you use it for, you’re going to have a hard time finding a desktop accessory as cool as the two pound box for less than $10. That’s reason enough for us.
