We didn’t even finish reading a full sentence of Batch from Scratch’s description of their Black & Tan and we were sold at, “A layer of fudgy decadent stout brownie.” This is the kind of snack a beer connoisseur would bake up and we’d gladly devour. If you’re not already slobbering like a Pavlovian dog, we’d recommend finding a spittoon to rest under your lower lip for the time being. Atop the beer brownie is a butterscotch ale ganache which then in turn is topped with crushed salted pretzels as a textural (and delicious) component. We might not be the best bakers in the world, but we do know that if your first two ingredients are chocolate and Guinness, you’re on a good path.
